About the role

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be part of the important interaction between us and our customers to ensure they receive the best possible support. The role requires good technical knowledge of medical equipment, both hardware and software, as well as a hands-on attitude and strong troubleshooting skills. Most of the work takes place on-site at our customers' locations, where a strong service mindset and the ability to work independently, along with a willingness to travel, are essential. With us, you will become a valuable part of our service and support team, where you will receive support from engaged and experienced colleagues while developing in your role.

Your responsibilities will include:

Delivering and installing medical equipment within eye care and ophthalmology.

Conducting preventive maintenance and service to ensure the equipment's operational reliability and performance.

Providing professional service, maintenance, and technical support for all our products at our customers' sites, both during planned visits and in emergency situations.

Independently planning and communicating service and maintenance visits to our customers based on ongoing needs.

Providing technical support and advice to our customers via remote connection, phone, and email during office hours.

Documenting your work carefully by creating reports and documentation and following procedures and regulations.

Your profile

  • You are a positive and communicative person who finds it easy to collaborate with others and has a sense of delivering a high level of service.
  • You have a technical education in medical technology, electrical engineering, or a similar field, or equivalent experience.
  • You are willing to travel for work within the Nordic countries, approximately 50 overnight stays per year.
  • You have experience with medical technology equipment.
  • You communicate fluently in Swedish and have very good English skills (other Nordic languages are a plus).
  • You have good verbal and written communication skills.
  • A valid driver's license (B) is required.
  • A university degree in medical technology or a similar field is an advantage.
  • Experience in ophthalmology and the eye industry is an advantage.
  • Experience in healthcare is an advantage.
  • Experience with IT, networking, and server management is an advantage.
  • Experience with DICOM is an advantage.
